ew! I am Italian and cook pasta several times a week - and I have never heard of that~
However, I would think you would put it in the coffee pot and then let the hot water drip down on it….

For traditional pasta you would just run the coffee machine with water so that the coffee pot fills with very hot water then place the pasta inside. When it is al dente (or sticks to your refrigerator when throwing a strand at it) it is done. For a twist you could also cook the pasta in red wine which gives the pasta a nice red color and also adds flavor.

The pasta has natural chemicals that will ruin your coffee pot.
