Run a batch of water and vinegar through it (about 1/2 cup vinager and 6 cups water!)… do this like 3-4 times…. it will help (You probally have some hard water deposits)…..then be sure to run a few clean pots through to rinse out the pot….. also if you have a garbage disposal…. put some baking soda in the drain and then dump the vinegar/water solution down the drain and it will help clean it out!!! keep it smelling fresh!!! even some in all the sinks around the house!!!!

Try doing a vinegar rinse through it a couple of times to see if it helps. Run a water rinse through it once to make sure you get all the vinegar out. Or, buy a new one..Cheap…

The residue can be drained all the easiest thing to do is brew half pot of white vinegar this is very common problem caused by hard water buildup the build up wouldnt use filter so the build up wouldnt use.

Most coffee makers are very inexpensive. I’d buy a new one and be done with it.
