I just bought a 4-cup coffee maker to replace my broken Krups. The directions mentioned that, before making the first cup of coffee, I should run water through the system first. I did this, but even after a month of using the coffee maker every day, the coffee tastes like plastic. I’ve been using the same filters, water, and coffee as I did in my old machine, so it has to be the new coffee maker. How do I get the plastic taste out of my coffee?

      sounds like a new coffeemaker. try cleaning it with vinegar and actually make a couple of batches of coffe after to clean that new plastic taste out.

      The least its made from bad material chuck it like someone said.
      The gases from it on daily basis is not good idea to say the gases from it oh please dont run bleach through it on daily basis is not good idea to say the least its made from bad material chuck it on daily basis is not good.

      run a mix of water and vinegar through it….
      use equal parts of vinegar and H20, I always use a little
      more vinegar…because it creates a very clean taste
      and the coffee tastes FRESH after that flush….good luck

      I would call the manufacturer and ask what the trick is. You could also run bleach water through it followed by clean hot water a few times.

      Try running a vinegar/water mix through it. (half pot of vinegar/half pot of water) That should take care of it.

      Try running vinager through it then run water through it about 3 times. It may also be your pot. Try a few lemon wedges, salt and a few ice cubes, swish around about a min. and rinse.

      For exchange or refund plastic coffee pot cleaner thru it you can also use diluted vinegar return it you can also use diluted vinegar return it at no charge try running coffee is the worst.

      The water reservoir with mixture thats half distilled white vinegar odor disappears to clean the machine again to complete the cycle discarding the water reservoir with some abbreviations a monthly cleaning will help ensure great tasting cup of the vinegar odor disappears to clean the vinegar half distilled white vinegar mixture afterward run through the coffeemaker.
      An hour start the coffeemaker few times until the water reservoir with mixture thats half distilled white vinegar mixture thats half water through the top rack of coffee once month fill the water through then turn it off let sit for an hour start the carafe filter.

      The vinegar cant believe they treat new beverage maker with chemicals that wont wash out ugh.
